Offa Bank Robbery: Court Sentences Five to Death


Five persons involved in the Offa Bank robbery incidents in April 2018 have been found guilty of some serious charges, including illegal possession of firearms, armed robbery, and culpable homicide.

Justice Haleemah Salman of the Kwara State High Court delivered the verdict, stating that these offences are punishable by death.

The incident, which occurred about six years ago, was a notorious bank robbery that shook the community.

🗞️MRS FATIMA UMUKORO, WIFE OF REV PRINCE UMUKORO, THE RESIDENT PASTOR OF VICTORY FAMILY ASSEMBLY INT'L (VIFA) MURDERED BY HER SON IN DELTA

The proprietress of His Majesty Group of Schools in Sapele, Delta State, Mrs Fatima Umukoro, was allegedly murdered by her 25-year-old son, Emmanuel Umukoro.  The tragic incident occurred on Saturday night, September 8, 2024.  The deceased was the wife of Rev Prince Umukoro, the resident pastor of Victory Family Assembly Int'l (VIFA) and a well-known figure in Sapele. It was gathered that Emmanuel had been allegedly grappling with mental health issues exacerbated by suspected substance abuse.
