Mr ibu leg amputated after seven surgeries to keep him alive


Veteran actor,

Mr Ibu has been amputated after seven successful surgeries, while also seeking more financial assistance from the public, a development that is believed would keep him alive, as confirmed by his family.

In a recent update posted on his official Instagram account on Monday, it was revealed that the actor has undergone seven successful surgeries. However, to ensure his survival and improve his chances of recovery, one of his legs had to be amputated.


The family is now reaching out to fellow Nigerians for support during this difficult time. They earnestly seek help from well-meaning Nigerians as the actor is still in a fragile state and needs all the assistance he can receive. The Okafor family expresses their gratitude to everyone who has shown support and assures that, once he’s stable, the actor will personally acknowledge and thank all those who have stood by him during this period.


The Instagram post read; “We want to thank God and most especially the General public for their support, encouragement, and prayers doing this trying period for our dad.

We called on Good Nigerians and we are very grateful for the response in every aspect most especially the donations, it came in very timely and very helpful.

So far daddy has gone through 5 succesful surgeries, and he is still recovering in the ICU. Daddy is immensely grateful and we are thankful to the general public during this phase of our lives. We appreciate all the donations made to  this account

A few days ago, fellow actor,

“Pawpaw”  disclosed that the veteran actor is recovering well,  “Pawpaw” said “Sickness is something that can come upon anybody. Anybody can fall sick at any time. We thank God for life and for keeping us alive.

“By God’s grace, he is receiving treatment 

right now and he will be fine. I have been talking to him for a while now, the sickness is not just something that just started today. It has been a long issue. And we have been talking about it,”

Recall the veteran actor had appeared in a video on his Instagram page, seeking assistance from Nigerians about his condition, while lying down in an hospital bed,

he posted back then which is approximately two weeks ago, “Dear Good people of Nigerian, we are counting on your support at these point we need it the most.
