UNIPORT Student Remanded in Prison for Allegedly Killing Girlfriend For Money Ritual UNIPORT Student’s Murder: Rivers State Government Steps In To Prosecute The prosecution of Damian Okoligwe, a 400-level student in the Department of Petrochemical Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Justina Otuene, a 300-level Biochemistry student at the same institution, has now been assumed by the Rivers State Government. In 2023, Okoligwe was accused of the crime, prompting the Rivers State Police Command to arraign him. Subsequently, upon advice from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP), the Office of the Attorney General of Rivers State initiated legal proceedings against Okoligwe in the State High Court. Spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, has said no policeman has the right to arrest anyone putting on dreadlocks, bump shot or girls without bra in the state. Edafe stated this in a video posted on his X handle on Tuesday. Destiny was picked up few days ago at his residence in NDDC road area in Amukpe, Sapele by police detectives from Sapele Division after Jennifer Aaron’s relatives reported her missing. A 26-year-old man, Destiny Ogheneovo, has been arrested by the Police in Sapele. The young man was arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend (Jennifer Aaron) in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. Destiny was picked up few days ago at his residence in NDDC road area in Amukpe, Sapele by police detectives from Sapele Division after Jennifer Aaron’s relatives reported her missing.  A relative of the deceased, Ugomu, told Vanguard that Jennifer, who had a two-year-old child with Destiny, parted ways with him about four months ago after their relationship turned sour.
