UNIPORT Student Remanded in Prison for Allegedly Killing Girlfriend For Money Ritual UNIPORT Student’s Murder: Rivers State Government Steps In To Prosecute The prosecution of Damian Okoligwe, a 400-level student in the Department of Petrochemical Engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Justina Otuene, a 300-level Biochemistry student at the same institution, has now been assumed by the Rivers State Government. In 2023, Okoligwe was accused of the crime, prompting the Rivers State Police Command to arraign him. Subsequently, upon advice from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP), the Office of the Attorney General of Rivers State initiated legal proceedings against Okoligwe in the State High Court.
